Executive Bio | Charles L. Fox Jr.
Charles L. Fox Jr., founder of Global IT University Inc., began his computer career in 1979 while working for IBM in Endicott, NY. After leaving IBM, Mr. Fox moved to Florida to pursue his degree in Theology. While going through his studies, he was a youth director for two churches located in Brandon, Florida.
In 1995, Mr. Fox started Omni Diagnostics, Inc. with his father and pioneered one of the first PC Diagnostic tools called the Omni Post Analyzer. After standardizing Comp USA Stores in America with this tool, PC Magazine nicknamed it the “Lazarus Board” as computer technicians spoke about how this tool was raising computers from the dead because of its on-board memory.
In 2000, Mr. Fox was asked to be on the board of an up and coming company Learn 2 Distribution, Inc., which provided computer based training. He was instrumental in bringing the company recognition by Entrepreneur and Dun & Bradstreet as one of the top 100 of America’s Fastest-Growing New Businesses in 2001.
After being in the IT Industry for over 26 years, Mr. Fox began Global IT University, Inc. which he continues in Clearwater, Florida today as CEO.
Charles Fox is a supporter of Economic Development Corporation located in Tampa, FL. He also has attended many trade missions with Enterprise Florida in the United States as well as oversees to open up International Trade.
Mr. Fox was involved in promoting the first National Digital Learning Day with Governors Jeb Bush and Bob Wise. He speaks and promotes buy local initiatives with his local government and surrounding businesses. Global IT University, Inc. is a veteran owned business and being veteran owned, Mr. Fox gives back to our returning veterans every opportunity he can. Currently, he is involved in housing our veterans through the Southern Tier Veterans Association Support Group and Soldiers On.
